My Totally Awesome Gaming History

A pokemon battle breaking out!
Back in my younger days, I spent the majority of my youth playing video games. Video Games were a big thing in the 1990's, and they still are today. My weapon of choice was my beloved Gameboy Color, which hardly left my hands.  There were many different games to choose from for the Gameboy color, but my all time favorite game was the Pokemon series.  From its wide variety of 649 different creatures, to its deep storyline, Pokemon was just all around great game.  I must have replayed this game atleast 100 times after finishing the story.  In my eyes, Pokemon was by far the coolest thing I've ever encountered, besides being introduced to video games.

My favorite video game genre has to be RPGs.  I love games that have a long, detailed storyline thats both fun and challenging.  There are many different RPGs, but my favorite one is the ones you can free roam in that game's world and you can make your own decisions and choices, and pretty much do whatever you want.
I'm the type of gamer who likes to play with friends and just have fun.  Sometimes I get too much into the game, for example playing Call of Duty sometimes gets me frustrated and I end up buying a new controller the next day.  I've had a pretty long game career, from my Gameboy Color I got when i was nine to my Xbox 360 that I own today.  My Xbox is probably one of my most prized possessions, I'm usually on it constantly and I can't really go maybe two or three weeks without atleast getting on and just playing practice mode on Madden.  I do have a Xbox Live Gold account and I pay $50 dollars every year to get on and game with my friends.  Most of my friends play the same games that I do.  We usually play sports games like Madden, NCAA Football, etc.  Role-Playing Games like Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls series.  I think the types of people who like the same games that I do are the ones who have a creative mind and want to see how their decisions play out in an alternate universe.  They would like to play games like Fallout or the Elder Scroll series, to create your own special character however you would like them to be.  Then control how you want that character to be, whether it be bad or evil the decision comes down to whoever is playing the game.  But then there are the games who like me also like to have fun and play with friends, like for instance I enjoy first person shooters.  Games like Battlefield that have more of a team aspect, where you're not just playing for yourself (well you could of course) but if you want to succeed in the game you have to be more of a team player.
